Q&A:

What first inspired you to open a business? What was the initial journey like?

  • My mother was a Mary Kay sales director for over 25 years. She always had a love for beauty and I grew up loving beauty as well. We decided we didn’t want to work for anyone else, and brought our expertise in business to open up a Med Spa together.

We love that you’re a mom/daughter duo - it makes your business ventures even more special! What’s it like being business partners?

  • It is absolutely amazing, getting to see and spend time with each other day-to-day is a blessing in itself. We have learned so much from each other, with different experiences, and together we are a fierce team!

Essentials of Woodbridge started with a focus on massages and you’re now in the process of expanding - can you tell us more about what services you’ll be offering?

  • We started with massages and facials, however we realized clients wanted more treatment-based services and we know we have to continue to evolve to contribute to the well-being of our clientele. We came together to hire the right team and invest in the latest technology, now offering everything from facials and laser treatments, to body contouring and more Med Spa services.

What is your vision moving forward and what would you like to see in the next 5 years of your business?

  • I would love to see Essentials really become a brand. When people think of us, I want them to know the American Dream can certainly come true. If you work hard, guided by faith and being selfless in your choices, many more blessings will come your way.

What would you like potential new clients to know about your business and what makes it different than some of your competitors? 

  • We are a small business, and therefore take pride in every individual that comes in for a service - you are not a number to us and we try to connect with each and every one of our customers. We value relationships before any transaction and genuinely care about each client that walks through our doors.

Is there anything you’d like new and/or returning customers to know about your medical spa and/or specialists? 

  • We are committed to continuing to provide the excellent service our clients have grown to enjoy and love. We want to continue to stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technology and of course, their safety is our #1 priority.

  • They were great in understanding what my vision was first and then sharing ways they can assist. They were also great in knowing it is not a ‘one-size-fits-all’ situation as we began the journey from a day spa to a med spa.

What advice would you give to other individuals wanting to start in the med spa industry? 

  • Do your research, make sure you invest with a company that has your best interest in mind, and is not looking to see you sink, but instead to grow with you throughout the process.

When getting started, did you speak with other companies? What made you choose We Treat?

  • Yes, I feel like they did not have the path laid out for us, getting started in this new chapter.
